Cross-Coupling in Coaxial Cavity Filters—A Tutorial Overview
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper presents a tutorial overview of the use of coupling between nonadjacent resonators to produce transmission zeros at real frequencies in microwave filters. Multipath coupling diagrams are constructed and the relative phase shifts of multiple paths are observed to produce the known responses of the cascaded triplet and quadruplet sections. The same technique is also used to explore less common nested cross-coupling structures and to predict their behavior. A discussion of the effects of nonzero electrical length coupling elements is presented. Finally, a brief categorization of the various synthesis and implementation techniques available for these types of filters is given.

In this paper, the feasibility studty of a new method of RF power coupling to acceleration cavity of charged particles accelerator will be evaluated. In this method a slit is created around the accelerator cavity, and RF power amplifier modules is connected directly to the acceleration cavity. In fact, in this design, the cavity in addition to acting as an acceleration cavity, acts as a RF powe...
متن کاملPlasmonic coaxial waveguide-cavity devices.
We theoretically investigate three-dimensional plasmonic waveguide-cavity structures, built by side-coupling stub resonators that consist of plasmonic coaxial waveguides of finite length, to a plasmonic coaxial waveguide. The resonators are terminated either in a short or an open circuit. We show that the properties of these waveguide-cavity systems can be accurately described using a single-mo...

In this paper, effects of the structural parameters on the optical characteristics of an add-drop filter, consisting of two straight waveguides and a micro-ring resonator (MRR), have been investigated. In this research, effects of MRR radius, the width of MRR and waveguide and the gap between MRR and waveguide, on free spectral range (FSR) and coupling coefficient have been studied. It is found...

In this paper, a novel concept of three dimensional integrated V-band dual-mode cavity filters, which permit the realization of a variety of quasi-elliptic responses by creating transmission zeros, has been demonstrated using multilayer low-temperature co-fired ceramic technology. A single cavity resonator is designed to generate a degenerate resonance of two orthogonal modes (TE102 and TE201),...

Resonant structure is one of the proposed methods in combining power in RF systems of RF accelerators. In this structure, fabrication of RF power divider or combiner using coaxial and cylindrical cavity is important. In this study, two combiners, in the same frequency band, are designed and fabricated; and their results are compared. The experimental results confirmed the simulation results an...
